Moving home is time consuming and it often seems easier to cart a box of useless items to your new house than it would be to sit down and take the time to sort it out. The problem with this mentality is that it perpetuates a cycle of hoarding.

Prepare an easily-accessible ‘overnight kit’ that has enough dog food, kitty litter, toys and grooming tools to sustain your pet and keep them comfortable during the first few days of unpacking.

8. Who To Tell

Gone are the laborious days where we sent new address letters to service providers, friends etc.  A simple email is now just a click away.  Ensure you prioritise however Doctors, Dentist, DVLA & Insurers should be amongst the first to be notified.

9. The Essential Moving Day Box

Kettle, teabags, milk and quick energy filled snacks are vital to keep going through what inevitably will be a long day!

10. Move Day

Just think about Bedtime…. it maybe early in the morning and you are packed full of energy, but as the day whizzes you will be glad that making your bed was the first completed job of the day.
